courtney rose mcqueenauthor~illustrator~founderCourtney is an award-winning author, artist, and landscape architect originally from Columbia, Maryland, and now living in Burlington, North Carolina. She holds a B.S. in Architecture and Environmental Design and an M.S. in Landscape Architecture from Morgan State University.
Her love for the outdoors began early, fueled by childhood adventures as a Girl Scout. That spark of wonder, combined with her passion for art, led her to design school where she learned to see and experience every environment through a creative lens. Through the Radicle Roots Book Series, Courtney aims to ignite curiosity, inspire excitement, and help children explore the connections between the natural and built environment.
