Courtney is an award-winning author, landscape architect, and mother of 3 originally from Columbia, Maryland, now living in Burlington, North Carolina. She holds a B.S. in Architecture and Environmental Design and an M.S. in Landscape Architecture from Morgan State University.
Her love for the outdoors began at a young age through childhood adventures as a Girl Scout. That sense of curiosity, paired with her passion for art, led her to design school, where she learned to see and experience the world through a creative and thoughtful lens. Through the Radicle Roots Book Series, Courtney hopes to spark curiosity, inspire excitement, and help children explore the connections between the natural and built environment.
