Over the past year we have received wonderful feedback from you our Radicle Roots fans regarding our 30 Day Design Adventure Journal cover art. The comment that we received the most was the need to clarity the book’s target audience. Customers did not realize at first glance that this is an activity book for kids. Well here at RRS your thoughts and comments are valuable and not taken for granted. So we are proud to present the new Journal cover to be reflected in our 2018 prints. What are your thoughts on the new cover? We would love your feedback.

Great Ecology has contributed their design of Woodbridge Waterfront Park to our book. I am really excited about this project because it is not simply a wetland restoration. There are so many layers to this waterfront park, and my favorite aspect is the brownfield to greenfield transition. A brownfield is a site that is considered hazardous or contaminated with pollutants. This site was used for organic chemical manufacturing. The groundwater became contaminated, and the tidal marshes were separated from the river. The site clean-up started in 2009 and the construction of the park is on schedule to be completed this year. Read more about the many layers of Woodbridge Waterfront Park here.
I am happy to announce we have received a project for the letter “G”.
Mary Armstrong of Armstrong Golf Architects has graciously contributed an amazing golf course to our book. It is the New Seabury Country Club, and the picture alone makes me want to go on vacation. The pathways that open with a degree in Landscape Architecture is quite amazing, and this is just one of many options. Check out more awesome golf courses on her website. I am so excited to announce we have received the first project to be featured in the ABC’s of Landscape architecture book. This project comes by way of Ayers Saint Gross, a
multi-disciplinary multi-office design firm. They are the home of many award winning architecture, master planning, and interior design projects. They have locked down the letter “C” in our alphabet book. Visit asg-architects.com to see more amazing projects by a group of landscape architects, interior designers, architects, planners, and graphic designers. Visit our site to learn more about the letters in the book. I am so excited about the new pavilion at Merriweather Park in Columbia. I have had the privilege to see this process from its tiny potato chip beginnings on a foam site model to a tour of the amazing construction site. It's ribbon cutting ceremony is Earth Day, April 22 and it has already won design awards! It is for sure going to be an iconic structure that will put Columbia on the map! In celebration of awesome design I wrote this poem to be engraved on the Chrysalis floor. You can support the Chrysalis too by engraving a special message on the beautiful Ipe floor.

We had a great time at Savage Fest. I must admit, this was my first time at the festival ever. Yeah I've been in Howard County for 28 years, epic fail. It was a great community event with music and a lot of activities for kids. We joined in on the fun by adding an Investigate With Jam scavenger hunt to the mix. The kids had a blast looking for the items. Here are some of our new Investigate With Jam friends. We had an amazing time at Behnke Nursery in Beltsville, MD. I look foward to partnering with them again in the future. We met amazing people, had fun doing an Investigate With Jam activity, and sold many books. Thank you to all who came out. You are all now apart of Team Radicle Roots. I had great photographer for the first hour of the event. Enjoy the photos below. I had a blast with the Cheetah class at Kiddies Kollege Christian Center. Thanks for having me Ms.Courtney! ---(yes the kids got serious giggles at how me and their teacher have the same name) So sitting at my desk at work I received an amazing voice mail! Why? Because I didn't answer my phone. Ha! Well the voice mail was to announce some amazing news...Drum Tree drum roll please....Come Plant a Seed placed silver in the eLit ebook awards! I must say it is an honor to place among other books with the goals of education and awareness of environment, ecology, and nature. Congratulations to all of the ebook winners.
